Developed Down Under Is Now On The Web

Developed Down Under

A few months ago Scott from WPDownUnder had an idea to help promote Aussie developers and Aussie focused apps to Aussies, he took to Twitter with the idea where the name Developed Down Under was suggested by @gh8421 (our very own Garry Holden). Fast forward to April this year and Niall from mobilewares.net decided it was time that there was an app that showcased all the Aussie apps that were out there.

Now just over a month later and Niall and Scott have now launched the Developed Down Under web site. The site has a good metro design to it and offers information about the Developed Down Under app, the mission of DDU, details about the DDU team (Niall and Scott), details on how to submit apps, media releases, DDU in the media and even an aggregate news feed from all the blogs that are shown in the app.

We are proud to participate in this initiative and that all our apps are Developed Down Under and can be found in the DDU app.

You can get the Developed Down Under app here and you can view the Developed Down Under web site here.

Windows 8 Apps Coming Soon

Windows 8

We are pleased to announce that we are currently working on our first app for Windows 8 and that we are looking at porting some of our Windows Phone apps to the new OS as well.

We recently submitted our first app to an App Excellence Lab run by Microsoft Australia thanks to Nick Hodge, see the article he wrote here, and we got a lot of feedback which we are using to improve the app before we submit it when the Windows Store opens to developers.

Want to have a say in what app we should port from our current Windows Phone catalogue to Windows 8 first? Vote in the below poll.
