Today we are finally ready to launch our new home on the internet, Handiware.com.au. With the launch of the new web site we are aiming to provide users a more feature rich experience when visiting the site by offering online support, ability for users to sign up for getting access to the Handiware Beta Program and much more.
Our new home at www.handiware.com.au sees us growing out of our former WordPress hosted site which debuted with a blog and a sign-up page for users to register their interest to participate in our Beta Program. The new site extends on this by allowing Beta Testers to apply through the site and once accepted manage their account and access current Beta services and apps that are available – with more services and functionality planned for later release.
Users will also be able to utilise online support from us via a support page where we will list any known issues with current apps & services, all blog posts relating to support and users can create a support ticket to get help directly from us.
Scott Sheedy of Windows Phone Down Under says of the new site:
“Handiware, as our official App developer, has always delivered fantastic Microsoft platform Apps for our site. Now, with www.handiware.com.au they have delivered a feature-rich and great looking modern UI styled online home. We love it!”
So head on over to handiware.com.au now and let us know what you think.
Our good friends over at WPDownUnder are celebrating their 1st Birthday this week, although today is THE day, and to celebrate they have teamed up with Nokia Australia to give YOU the chance to win some prizes.
Up for grabs as part of the celebrations are a Nokia Lumia 800 (thanks to Nokia) for first place, an “I ❤ WP” t-shirt for second place and “I ❤ WP” stickers and magnets for third place. To be in the draw to win, all you have to do is head over to their Facebook page, like them, join the competition and then do a few small tasks (like tweeting about their competition).
While you are at it, don’t forget to download their official app (made by us) right here and keep an eye out for the Windows 8 version coming soon!
A few months ago Scott from WPDownUnder had an idea to help promote Aussie developers and Aussie focused apps to Aussies, he took to Twitter with the idea where the name Developed Down Under was suggested by @gh8421 (our very own Garry Holden). Fast forward to April this year and Niall from mobilewares.net decided it was time that there was an app that showcased all the Aussie apps that were out there.
Now just over a month later and Niall and Scott have now launched the Developed Down Under web site. The site has a good metro design to it and offers information about the Developed Down Under app, the mission of DDU, details about the DDU team (Niall and Scott), details on how to submit apps, media releases, DDU in the media and even an aggregate news feed from all the blogs that are shown in the app.
We are proud to participate in this initiative and that all our apps are Developed Down Under and can be found in the DDU app.
You can get the Developed Down Under app here and you can view the Developed Down Under web site here.
For all of you who like to live on the edge, we have created a page where you can sign up to be among the first to get access to new apps and updates to apps that are still in Beta.
We will be announcing a couple of new Beta apps over the next month or so, so be sure to sign up and get the news and take them for a whirl by filling out the form here.
